Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics and Fitness offers a variety of classes and programs through our recreation and team programs.
The MFGF Recreation Program is for boys (ages 1-10) and girls (ages 1-15). We offer a range of developmental classes that build the foundations of gymnastics skills.
The MFGF Team Program is for girls ages 4 and up. Our Team Program operates under the rules and regulations of USAG Junior Olympic Women's Program. Gymnasts are evaluated based on their physical skills, work ethic, and mental preparedness. Within the Team Program, the athletes will learn several life skills including respect, responsibility, good sportsmanship, among others.
Minnesota Flyers Team Program is broken down into three categories:
Developmental, Compulsory, and Optional
As coaches, we believe in promoting a healthy environment for the athletes to progress through and safely learn the sport of gymnastics.

These groups work the fundamentals and foundations of gymnastics while preparing skill development for the optional levels. We follow a structured system that supports progression, but athletes do move at their own pace through these levels. Compulsory gymnasts compete in Minnesota and North Dakota. The highlight of their season is qualifying and competing in the USAG Compulsory State Meet every December.
The USAG optional levels are designed to promote athlete creativity and support strengths of the gymnast. Because of the challenging skills and physical demand of these levels, gymnasts can have a demanding practice schedule. These levels are highly rewarding and offer many opportunities for self-development. Their competitions are throughout the region and out of state. We require that athletes are performing well in their academics.
A highlight of competing at the optional levels are qualifying for a regional meet - competing against MN, WI, ND, SD, IA, NE and MO. At levels 9 and 10, girls have the opportunity to advance to the National level and compete country-wide.
