Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics & Fitness proudly offers our competitive gymnastics program to aspiring young gymnasts.  Our program consists of  four different groups with multiple levels of gymnastics for ages 4-18.

Competitive gymnastics is considered a "high risk" contact sport. Safety is our first priority in the gym and we take this very seriously. Our head team staff are certified and trained in concussion management through Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) HEADS UP Program

IS TEAM RIGHT FOR YOUR GYMNAST?

HOW IS TEAM DIFFERENT FROM RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS?

The biggest difference between team gymnastics and our recreational program is commitment.  In our team program, practices are held 2-4 times per week year-round  depending on the level, where as our rec classes are just once a week for 10 weeks at a time.

Tuition varies depending on the level.  There are additional costs including uniforms, USAG membership, meet fees and travel, depending on the gymnast's level.

Mandatory fundraising twice a year is also required of our team gymnasts to help offset the costs of the program.

HIGH SCHOOL TRAINING

Available to Laker gymnasts in 7-12th grades not currently enrolled in USAG training. Training is offered when high school team is not in season. Month-to-month tuition is available for 2, 3 or 4 days a week. Contact the office for more info or to enroll.

INTERESTED IN JOINING TEAM?

To develeop a gymnast into a high caliber competitor, it takes time to develop skills, shaping, and strength needed for longevity and success in the sport of gymnastics.

the earlier an athlete has the opportunity to begin on a competitive route, the better.  ideally, an athlete would begin her competitive journey around the ages of 4-6.  at this age it is important to develop a strong base of strength, processing, and basic skills needed for the remainder of the gymnastics career.

if you have thought of gymnastics as a serious and committed sport for your daughter, we recommend having her try out for team.
